- This setup uses the joystick for torso movement and the index finger
- hat on the TQS for steering. It is configured for analog throttle and
- if you have an RCS it would be pretty easy to modify it for that.
- (I would put the Steer Left/Right function on the pedals..)
-
- To use this you will have to reconfigure the controls in MW2 a lot,
- which is why I have included a CONFIG01.CPC file to be used with it.
- To install, copy the .CPC file to the \MECH2\GIDDI directory and,
- in the game, enter COCKPIT CONTROLS, click on CUSTOM CONFIGURATION
- then LOAD CUSTOM 1.
-
- I included the mouse for torso movement (it's on the secondary control
- list) but the trackball really isn't good enough for that.
-
- You'll have to read through the .B50 file to learn how this is setup.
-
- There are a few details that I haven't decided about yet, like what to
- do with the antenna knob (using it for target selection is not very useful)
- and whether jump jet steering should be on H1 instead. The reason for not
- putting anything on Up/Down on the TQS hat is that it's hard to avoid
- pulling/pushing the hat when you are moving around a lot. I put zoom in/
- zoom out on those button positions first, but soon found out the problem.
-
- The zoom (on the range knob) does not work very well for some reason and
- the jump jet steering sticks sometimes. Otherwise it works well so far
- for me. If anybody has any improvements I would be glad to hear about them!
